I think that the biblical story about the garden of Eden
and the tree of knowledge is sort of true ... but it wasn't
apples. It was meat. The meat of other animals. Proto-humans began
to scavenge meat from lion kills or some natural deaths, and became
predators. And this ruined the life of harmony with Nature ... we
became competitors for the top place in the food chain. And the
meat, with its higher concentration of energy, allowed us to eat
enough to live for a day, without having to look for food from dawn
to dusk - and that meant more time to think. And build. And so
forth. And to the proto-humans, it might have seemed sinful to eat
other animals - and that's where the memory, and thus the story,

I once had a car that was more like a home
I lived in it, loved in it, polished its chrome
If some of my homes had been more like my car
I probably wouldn't have travelled this far

If you survived the ordeal of primary schooling, you
were probably mistaught that Italy is a country in southern Europe.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Italy is nothing to do with
Europe. Italy is a runaway train which is crashing into Europe at a
speed of approximately 2 centimeters per century. That's fast, for a
country (which probably explains why Ferarris are made there). The
crumple zone is called the Alps.

I know that the Spades are the swords of a soldier
I know that the Clubs are weapons of war
I know that Diamonds mean money for this art
But that's not the shape of my Heart

Der Song Let it be läuft gerade im Radio.
No good times
No bad times
There's no times at all, just the New York Times
-- Simon & Garfunkel, "Overs"
There is no gravity; the earth just sucks.
-- Richard Bachman, "Rage"
And anytime I see your face
I'm reminded of a meal I once had
Boy it was really good to look at
But it sure tasted bad
-- Gilbert O'Sullivan, "Stick in the Mud"
It is not easy to become beautiful. It requires hard work, patience, and attention to detail.
It also takes a certain firmness of purpose. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and it
may be necessary from time to time to give a stupid or misinformed beholder a black eye.

The border patrol outside of Tucson boarded the bus
"Any aliens here? You better check with us
How about you son, you look like you got Spanish blood
Do you habla ingles, am I understood?"
Yes I am an alien, from Mars
I come to work from outer space
And if I travelled my whole life
You guys would still be on my case
