C.L.

For C.L., obviously

I watch the breakers crashing
And I somehow feel good
Though there ain't no reason why I should
After their rise they're falling
Just like I rose and fell
And they're fading like my love
I love C.L.

There's a cold wind blowing
Coming up from the sea
And I feel as if it's meant for me
With its steady movement
It slowly will melt
The words there in the sand
"I love C.L."

I cannot escape, I'll have to stand it
Yes I'll have to stand it, and I'll have to be true
I'm losing my shape, but I must overcome it
I can overcome it, I can think of someone new
But I will always dream about you
I'll dream about you
Dream about you

You haven't really changed me
Still I am what I am
And I don't know what to do again
Life is really heavy
And I'm feeling like hell
But what am I to do?
I love C.L.

Sometimes it seems so easy to be loving
And sometimes there's no word to say
Heaven knows how I will feel tomorrow
I only hope it's better than today
I cannot escape, I'll have to stand it
Yes I'll have to stand it, and I'll have to be true
I'm losing my shape, but I must overcome it
I can overcome it, I can think of someone new
But I will always dream about you
I'll dream about you
Dream about you
